veganism isnt a ‘belief’
When people tell me they ‘respect my beliefs but could never be vegan’, it gets me so ticked.
What beliefs of mine do you respect? It’s not like veganism is some religion that I follow. My lifestyle is based on cold hard facts that I have learned and have taken action against. I do not ‘believe’ pigs are confined in gestation crates and chickens in battery cages, etc, I have been presented with EVIDENCE that DEMONSTRATES that to be TRUE and FACTUAL.
So you respect me for acting upon the truth being laid out in front of me and not turning away and putting my blinders on?
Okay then, you should tell me THAT, don’t call what I am doing based on ‘beliefs’ because that is not the fucking case.
